  Our 10 year old daughter completed a Junior Open Water course with Adriana. It was the most amazing experience ever - we could not have asked for a better instructor! Adriana was caring, friendly and very professional, always reiterating how important safety is when diving. This was extremely important for us and put our mind to ease, especially with a very young child learning how to dive. The initial training in the purpose-built pool was a great start to the course. With Adriana by her side our daughter felt confident when entering the open water for the first time. We were all very happy when she passed her Junior Open Water assessment, and we went out to the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver/Silversonic for a few more fun dives. Our dive guides Simon and Hiromi were very knowledgeable, highly skilled, and super friendly. We enjoyed every interaction with the friendly staff from Quicksilver, from the initial booking with the very professional admin staff who went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met, to the bubble-maker course our 8-year-old did with Heinz (who was also super nice, professional and highly skilled) to the Junior Open Water Course for our 10-year-old ending with fun dives on the Great Barrier Reef. Every single person was just lovely, accommodating and very helpful. The equipment is excellent, the food and drink selection on the boats is fantastic and the whole experience is just unforgettable! Thanks to the Quicksilver Crew and all the lovely staff!!!

  We had an amazing time with Jess as our instructor! I experienced quite a lot of difficulties equalising my ears and she was very patient and supportive through the whole process. She knew the reef so well and was able to share many highlights, including Nemo! 🐠 Highly recommended.

  I absolutely loved my learn to dive course which was conducted by the lovely Jess. It was an absolutely overwhelming and surreal experience to have two days of diving the Great Barrier Reef and Jess ran the program in a way that made us feel safe and in control. As someone who has done a lot of free diving previously, I was impressed at how much extra SCUBA added to the experience. I look forward to using my new qualification on my future holidays! Cannot recommend highly enough!

  We completed the Quicksilver Dive 3 Day PADI Learn to Dive Course with Jess from Quicksilver and it was such an amazing experience! Going into it we were a bit nervous as we had never dived before however Jess was a great teacher and very supportive throughout. We felt very safe and saw some amazing marine wildlife including sharks, minke whales and turtles. We would highly recommend for anyone with no previous experience, thanks again Jess! Ben and Ange

  We were part of a group of six certified divers with Gordon as our diver master/guide. The dives were well planed to make the most of of each site and dive by starting deep and moving up throughout the dive. Great conditions, great service and great dive sites

  The whole trip was above expectations. Staff were professional and friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Particular mention to Jess who went above and beyond to make our dive course rewarding. She was an excellent dive instructor and would recommend the course to others. Great value for money too, particularly with the dive instructions at the reef. Thanks for a great week.

  The 4 day course was a fantastic experience and Jess was a great instructor she was extremely helpful and gave us a great introduction into the world of diving. Highly recommend this course at Quicksilver :)

  We had a fantastic day out on Poseidon - 2 in our group we are doing the PADI open water dive course with a great instructor Adi - very thorough, very professional and made it fun for the girls The certified divers in our group had a fantastic dive master/instructor called Gordon - again very thorough, very professional and above all made it fun for everybody involved Safety is a key aspect for us when thinking of going with a dive organisation and Quicksilver and the crew on board Poseidon on Sunday certainly ticked all the boxes The on-board crew on the boat couldn’t have looked after us better - the quality of the food was excellent, offered water, drinks coffee tea and snacks and operated brilliantly manger to remain compliant and safe within COVID-19 criteria Thanks quicksilver for a great day out thoroughly recommend you guys to people be it for experienced drivers all those looking to do they open water course

  WOW what an experience. My new husband and I decided to start our honeymoon off with obtaining our open water certification and couldn't have been happier with the choice. The elearning online we had some initial trouble signing in but called the number at the quicksilver office and it was fixed. We found the content easy to follow and had a lot of knowledge we then utilised on the days in the water. The first day we met our instructor Jess and she was the most super patient and easy going person. Never made you feel like you were dumb when you forgot something and said that we were learning and that is going to happen. We spent a whole day in the pool getting used to all our gear and the skills we had to learn for the certification. This was crucial to our success in the big blue. The 2nd day we did 3 dives with skills and some sightseeing underwater with Jess there the whole time watching and encouraging. The 3rd day we had a few more skills on the first dive and then the amazing 2 pleasure dives at the end, where we put everything into practise and were able to just enjoy the surrounds of the underwater. This is the best place to learn to dive and also the best company and instructor to teach you. Jess we cannot thank you enough and I promise I will continue to practise that HOVER ...haha

  I have just completed a four day PADI diving course with Quicksilver at Port Douglas and have to say that the training provided by Jess, my instructor, was absolutely brilliant. She was totally professional, but with a sense of humour which made the challenging course a joy. She coached me through to certification and blended the training with imparting a knowledge of aquatic life on the Great Barrier Reef which added to the experience immensely. After qualifying, she handed me over to the care of Gordon for three guided dives which really consolidated the excellent training. All power to Quicksilver - an unforgettable experience.
